INSTRUCTIONS for DISHWASHER MINERAL DEPOSIT REMOVAL

For minerals that produce a film on your glasses and white deposits in the dishwasher, please follow the directions below. It is important that you follow them exactly as written, without skipping any steps.

REMEMBER

In some cases minerals may be blocking the holes in the wash arms. Try to open the holes using a sharp object (TRY NOT TO HURT YOURSELF). In some extreme cases, we may need to clean or replace the wash arms.

Step 1: REMOVING THE MINERALS FROM YOUR DISHWASHER:

  • Take 1 gallon of white vinegar and pour directly onto the floor of your dishwasher, without any dishes or soap, high enough to cover the heating element, if you see one
  • Let it soak over night. (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! IT HAS TO SOAK OVERNIGHT TO WORK)
  • The next day, run the empty dishwasher for a short or normal cycle. This will remove the loose deposits and the vinegar.
  • Repeat this process as necessary.

Step 2: REMOVING THE MINERALS FROM YOUR DISHES AND GLASSES:

  • Load both racks with all of your glass dishes stained by minerals.
  • Set to normal cycle WITHOUT any soap.
  • Toss ½ cup to a cup of vinegar into the dishwasher floor whenever you hear the water coming in. You will do this 3-5 times during the cycle.
  • Repeat this process as necessary.

Step 3: DISHWASHER MINERAL DEPOSIT PREVENTION:

  • Make sure you are always using a high quality detergent. For best results you can order quality soap, CLICK HERE
  • Never fill the soap cups all the way with detergent- only half-way.
  • Add 1 tsp. of plain salt to to each soap cup every wash.
  • When the minerals start to form again, simply throw in a cup of vinegar into the dishwasher at the rinse or wash cycle.
